SK1-CHORD

he SK1-CHORD is a peripheral slot board for PICMG® CompactPCI® Serial systems and acts as carrier card for a PMC-style mezzanine module. PMC modules are are provided with a legacy PCI® interface and are widely in use for industrial and scientific applications. The SK1-CHORD supports the most common 32-bit 33/66MHz PMC modules. The SK1-CHORD is equipped with a PCI Express® to PCI® bridge for conversion of data from the CompactPCI® Serial backplane, to the on-board PCI® parallel bus. The PMC module fits on the PMC connectors J11/J12 at 10mm height. The SK1-CHORD can be installed into any peripheral slot of a CompactPCI® Serial backplane.

The SK1-CHORD requires only a single PCI Express® lane from the backplane, passed over across the connector P1 to the on-board PCIe to PCI® bridge. The local PCI® interface is 32bit wide, hence J11 and J12 are provided as PMC mezzanine connectors. PMC modules can be operated at either 66MHz or 33MHz clock rate.

SF1-STUDIO

On the process control level, the IoT speaks many idioms. With the SF1-STUDIO, EKF offers a versatile solution to this problem. The CompactPCI® Serial carrier board accommodates up to two mezzanine I/O adapter modules based on the PCI Express® Mini Card form factor, suitable for real-time industrial Ethernet and fieldbus applications. Up to four front panel I/O connectors are available for direct attachment of a variety of machines and systems. The SF1-STUDIO is optimized for Hilscher real-time Ethernet & fieldbus modules. Many popular protocols are supported. With respect to Ethernet, mezzanine modules are available for EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Open-Modbus/TCP, POWERLINK, PROFINET IO, Sercos, and VARAN. In addition, there are also I/O modules disposable for the classic interfaces Profibus DP, CANopen, DeviceNet and CC-Link. A suitable configuration of ports allows applications as bridge or router.

The SF1-STUDIO requires a single PCI Express® lane from the backplane, passed over across the backplane connector P1 to the on-board PCIe Gen2 packet switch (upstream port). Three downstream ports are connected to the PCIe Mini Card sockets, and the optional on-board USB host controller. The SF1-STUDIO is equipped with two PCI Express® Mini Card connectors according to the PCI-SIG Mini Card electromechanical specification Rev. 2.0, for usage with appropriate industrial I/O modules. A front panel assembly is available to each I/O module, providing the suitable I/O connectors.

SE1-PITCH

The SE1-PITCH is a peripheral slot card for CompactPCI® Serial systems, equipped with two M.2 sockets for SSD (Solid-State Drive) modules. One of the M.2 sockets is suitable for a NVMe type SSD module, with a PCIe x4 Gen3 interface for superior data transfer rates. When used as main mass storage device in a system, the NVMe SSD can speed up the overall system performance dramatically. The other M.2 connector can accommodate a classic AHCI SATA style SSD, used e.g. as backup for the NVMe module.

The SE1-PITCH is suitable for all module sizes defined by the M.2 specification for SSD drives, up to the 22110 form factor. In order to avoid mix-up, both M.2 sockets are mechanically coded. The NVMe module socket is provided with an M-key, and the SATA module connector features a B-key, according to the PCI Express® M.2 Specification (PCI-SIG). For optimum NVMe SSD module performance, a PCI Express® x4 enabled backplane slot would be required (e.g. CompactPCI® Express fat pipe slot). In addition, SATA backplane support is needed for the SATA SSD module.
