Introduction
Using Intel®’s 2nd and 3rd generation Core i3/i5/i7 processors based on 22nm process technology supporting up to two cores / four threads at 2.2 GHz and 4 MB level 2 cache, the MIC-3395 boosts computing performance with the latest virtualization techniques and CPU enhancements. Onboard soldered DRAM with ECC and optional memory expansion via SODIMMs extend the memory to 16 GB to for the most demanding applications in high performance or virtualized environments with up to 4GB per virtual machine. Dual channel design and memory speeds up to 1600MT/s for 3rd generation processors along with increased cache size and cache algorithms guarantee maximum memory throughput. Combined with the powerful Intel QM67 chipset, these new processors offer improved I/O performance by leveraging 5GT/s DMI and PCIe interfaces. An onboard XMC/PMC site with PCIe x8 gen.2 connectivity can host offload or I/O such as the MIC-3666 dual 10GE XMC. With SATA-III support and up to 6Gbps I/O, the latest enhancements in storage technology such as high speed SSDs can be employed. Six gigabit Ethernet ports for PICMG 2.16, front and rear connectivity ensure best in class network connectivity. The integrated graphics engine (HD3000) offers twice the performance over previous generations.
RASUM features in the CPU and chipset combined with PICMG 2.9 IPMI make the MIC-3395 a highly available and reliable computing engine. The RIO-3315 RTM module supports one PS/2 connector with keyboard and mouse ports, two USB ports, two RS-232 ports, two SATA ports, two DVI ports, and two GbE ports. In addition to QM67 SATA and RAID support, the RIO-3315 SAS version provides a 4-port SAS controller for RAID and failover.

H264-ULL-cPCI – Dual-channel 3U CompactPCI HD H.264 Encoder

The H264-ULL-cPCI is a dual channel, high definition, ultra low latency H.264 encoder for CompactPCI systems. It allows system builders to easily add high definition video capture and H.264/MPEG-4 AVC (Part 10) encoding to their embedded CompactPCI equipment.

This high definition H.264 encoder is ideal for time-critical applications as it offers ultra low latency encoding of below 40 ms across the entire capture resolution range. The H264-ULL-cPCI supports two H.264 encode channels at resolutions up to 1080p30 or a single encode at 1080p60. The H.264 encoding can be flexibly configured to suit a range of bandwidth and storage requirements. The board has two analog HD video input channels. Each HD channel can be independently configured for analog YPbPr, analog RGsB (Sync on Green), analog VGA (separate HSync, VSync).

The H264-ULL-cPCI is well suited for applications in defense, traffic systems, instrumentation, situational awareness to provide highest quality encoding and lowest latency.

The H264-ULL-cPCI is available with extended temperature range options (-40°C to +85°C) and long term availability. The card is supported on a range of Operating Systems including Windows, Linux and QNX.

H264-cPCI8 – 8 Channel H.264 Video Codec for CompactPCI

The H264-cPCI8 is an eight channel H.264 codec for CompactPCI systems. The H.264-cPCI8 provides a powerful and flexible solution for capturing and compressing up to 8 analog video inputs at full size and at full frame rate to the H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC compression standard.

The H264-cPCI8 not only provides H.264 compression but can also simultaneously decompress and replay recordings from storage to display. This board allows high quality real-time video and audio capture and compression from NTSC/PAL video sources to disk and simultaneously provides an additional path for uncompressed video for on-screen preview or optional downstream video analytics.

The high performance H.264 video data compression and efficient bus utilization allow multiple H264-cPCI8 cards to be fitted in a CompactPCI for multi-channel video recording and streaming applications.
