The new Kontron CP6930 is a 6U hot-swappable CPCI and VITA 31 switch with 26 GbE ports and 6 high performance uplinks (10 GbE). The CP6930 provides built-in switching capacity for CompactPCI and VITA 31.1 installations at an unsurpassed price/performance ratio by implementing the latest switching technology. It applies to VoIP installations such as Call Servers, MediaGateways and Trunking Gateways in wireline and wireless networks, as well as VoIP systems in enterprise networks with high demands on performance.

Based on the successful CP6004-SA 6U CompactPCI processor board available with Third Generation Intel® Core Quad Core processors, the CP6004X-SA is based on existing standards and provides two additional 10Gigabit/sec Ethernet ports and PCIe 2.0 x4 to the backplane based on the PICMG2.20 specification.
This CP6004X-SA design is made for highest data throughput, where performance and ruggedization on a scaleable platform is required.
