SE2-MOOD CompactPCI Serial Peripheral Card for SSDs

The SE2-MOOD is a peripheral slot card for CompactPCI® Serial systems, equipped with three M.2 sockets for SSD (Solid-State Drive) modules.
Two of the M.2 sockets are suitable for NVMe type SSD modules, with a PCIe x4 Gen3 interface for superior data transfer rates. When used as main mass storage devices in a system, the NVMe SSDs can speed up the overall system performance dramatically.

The third (optional) M.2 connector can accommodate a classic AHCI SATA style SSD, used e.g. as backup drive or legacy systems boot device.

SE1-PITCH

The SE1-PITCH is a peripheral slot card for CompactPCI® Serial systems, equipped with two M.2 sockets for SSD (Solid-State Drive) modules. One of the M.2 sockets is suitable for a NVMe type SSD module, with a PCIe x4 Gen3 interface for superior data transfer rates. When used as main mass storage device in a system, the NVMe SSD can speed up the overall system performance dramatically. The other M.2 connector can accommodate a classic AHCI SATA style SSD, used e.g. as backup for the NVMe module.

The SE1-PITCH is suitable for all module sizes defined by the M.2 specification for SSD drives, up to the 22110 form factor. In order to avoid mix-up, both M.2 sockets are mechanically coded. The NVMe module socket is provided with an M-key, and the SATA module connector features a B-key, according to the PCI Express® M.2 Specification (PCI-SIG). For optimum NVMe SSD module performance, a PCI Express® x4 enabled backplane slot would be required (e.g. CompactPCI® Express fat pipe slot). In addition, SATA backplane support is needed for the SATA SSD module.

SD4-SWEEP

The SD4-SWEEP is a peripheral slot card for CompactPCI® Serial systems, equipped with a quad-channel PCI Express® to SATA 6Gbps controller, and four on-board sockets for M.2 solid state drives (SSD). available of 512MB as of current, M.2 is a fast emerging embedded storage module form factor. The Marvell® SATA 3.0 controller allows RAID or non RAID operation.

The SD4-SWEEP fits into any CompactPCI® Serial peripheral slot that is PCIe enabled. For optimum performance a fat pipe slot may be chosen. Hardware RAID operation is supported, running with an enhanced ARM-based processor to offload the host CPU. Thanks to the four M.2 sockets provided on the SD4-SWEEP, a JBOD or hardware RAID level 0/1/10 system can be easily configured.
