AMC638

The AMC638 is VadaTech second generation storage product for a 2.5″ SATA disk drive in a single module, compact-size AdvancedMC (AMC) form factor to AMC.1. Ports 2 and 3 are routed to the backplane connector per AMC.3 specification. The module provides 2x the back-end transfer rate and 2x the front-end rate than previous VadaTech SATA AMCs.

Drives can be SSD or Rotary with 6 Gbps SATA. It also supports SATA mix Flash/Rotary disks with encryption. The AMC638 also has a DVI-I front panel interface for graphics module access.

AMC635

The removable mSATA carrier tray on the AMC635 allows all drives to be removed together, supporting applications where large amounts of data need to be physically moved from one equipment to another, or where sensitive (e.g. classified) data must be removed from a system. The unit is fully compatible with the AMC629 RAID controller so can support fault tolerant storage.

Multiple AMC635 units can be ‘daisy chained’ within a system (depending on backplane capabilities) supporting large scale storage systems. The on-board expander enables 12 Gbps aggregate performance with 6 Gbps (SATA) devices. It includes an integrated ARM Cortex-R4 processor for topology management functions for efficiency.

The AMC635 is available in both air-cooled (MTCA.0 and MTCA.1) and rugged conduction cooled(MTCA.2 or MTCA.3) versions.

AMC630

The AMC630 is VadaTech second generation storage product for a 1.8″ SATA disk drive in a double module, compact-size (mid or full-size optional) AdvancedMCTM (AMC) form factor based on the AMC.1 specification. Drives can be SSD or rotary with 6 Gbps SATA.

The module also supports an independent disk or integrated RAID 0, 1 and 10. The front SATA drives are swappable without removing the AMC from the chassis. The rear (2nd and 4th) SATA drives are latched down with screwed braces. They can be removed with some light disassembly of the AMC.
