CompactPCI® Serial (PICMG CPCI-S.0) is a new modular computer standard officially adopted by PICMG in 2011. The CompactPCI Serial standard defines a completely new connector to support high-speed serial interfaces including PCI Express, SATA, USB and Ethernet. A CompactPCI Serial backplane has six high-speed connectors P1 to P6 on the system slot but only P1 is mandatory on peripheral slots, P2 to P6 being optional. A CompactPCI Serial system can comprise a total of nine blades (one system blade and eight peripheral I/O blades) through an Ethernet full mesh or single star architecture. The CompactPCI® Serial standard is the next-generation of the CompactPCI® specification and provides more flexibility and higher speed and bandwidth in modular system solutions.
The ADLINK cPCI-A3525 Series is a 3U CompactPCI Serial compatible processor blade with SO-DIMM DDR4-2666 ECC memory up to 64GB, and features a 9th generation Intel® Core™ processor with Mobile Intel® CM246 PCH Chipset.
The cPCI-A3525 Series is a 3U CompactPCI Serial blade available in single-slot (4HP) form factors with optional daughter boards to provide extra storage and with 2 extra GbE port throught P6 to the rear backplane. Faceplate I/O on the single slot (4HP) includes 1x DP, 2x GbE and 2x USB 3.0 ports (these I/O are common to all versions).
Serial interfaces on the backplane connectors P1 to P5 include two PCI Express x8, one PCI Express x2, two PCI Express x4, three PCI Express x1, seven SATA 6Gb/s, two USB 3.0, and eight USB 2.0 ports. Addition- ally, the P6 connector supports two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
The cPCI-A3525 is a high-performance solution for transportation, factory automation, defense and other industrial applications that require superior data transfer capability and advanced computing power. The ADLINK cPCI-A3525 provides high manageability, supports Satellite mode operation as a standalone blade in peripheral slots, and Smart Embedded Management Agent (SEMA) for system health monitoring.
