LinkedHope® Launched a 6U CPCI Express Computing Board Based on Intel® Haswell Processors

July 27th, 2017, as an independent embedded computer manufacturer, LinkedHope® has launched a new-developed 6U CPCI Express computing board, named CP62201, which is based on the Intel® Haswell processor architecture.

Based on Intel® QM87 chipset, CP62201 provides various kinds of up-to-date interfaces and its rear I/O pin definition is compatible with the main stream specification in the industrial and government programs. The external interfaces of CP62201 include Gigabit Ethernet, SATAIII, USB3.0, keyboard/mouse, etc.

CP62201 uses high-speed ZD connectors to transmit 10Gb Ethernet, PCIe3.0, USB3.0, SATAIII and other high-speed signals. It also provides up to x24 (one x16 + one x8) PCIe links to the rear transmission module, which are divided into one x16 PCIe link and one x8 PCIe link, and both can be flexibly configured, wherein, the x16 PCIe link is fully PCIe3.0 compatible. In addition, CP62201 offers one x4 PCIe link to the XMC port, that can be used to expand application-specific interfaces like GPGPU, DI/DO, ARINC429 and so on.

CP62201 integrates Intel® HD Graphics 4600 and supports multiple display outputs, including eDP/DP/HDMI/VGA, up to 3 cloned or independent displays. The VGA display can reach up to 2,048×1,536 resolution, and two DVI ports on the rear transmission interface support maximum resolution up to 4,096×2,304@24Hz and the maximum resolution of the Display Port is up to 3,840×2,160@60Hz (QFHD).

CP62201 has an onboard memory up to 16GB and an onboard SLC Flash disk up to 64GB, both of which are designed for harsh environment applications, especially where extreme shock and vibration must be sorted out. In addition, LinkedHope® provides a wealth of software driver (BSP) support for CP62201, including VxWorks, Linux, Windows etc. This reduces the work load of system integrators and solution developers and shortens the time-to-market.

CP62201 adopts new Intel® mobile platform, reducing power consumption while providing high-performance processing capabilities. LinkedHope provides CP62201 two mechanical designs: traditional air-cooled and ruggedized conduction-cooled, and ensures the board to be operated properly in a wide range of shock and vibration conditions. CP62201 also supports extended operating temperature from -40 to 70 degree Celsius. All these characteristics and features enable CP62201 as a key component to build products or solutions with high-reliability and high-availability capability in harsh environments.

Typical applications:

In-Vehicle high-density Audio & Video processing device, Command & Control system, High-frequency Test & Measurement equipment, General data-intensive processing system, Medical image processing.
