The SCX-PCIE is a mezzanine side card to EKF CPU boards, for use as a backplane bridge, in order to expand CompactPCI® Serial systems to a maximum of sixteen peripheral card slots, suitable e.g. for test equipment.
While the CPU card fits into a CompactPCI® Serial backplane which has its system slot right aligned, the SCX-PCIE meets the left aligned system slot of the neighbouring secondary backplane.
